Dorchester
The largest agricultural show in the south of England, held annually at the Dorset County Showground near Dorchester. Two days of livestock competitions, country sports, food and drink, trade stands, and entertainment. A quintessentially Dorset experience.

Bridport
A celebration of West Dorset's extraordinary food and drink scene, held annually in Bridport town centre. Local producers, street food, cookery demonstrations, and tastings. One of the best food festivals in the south of England.
💡 Arrive early for the best choice at the producers' market. The cookery demonstrations are excellent.
Bournemouth
Europe's largest free airshow, held annually over Bournemouth beach. Four days of spectacular aerial displays including the Red Arrows, historic aircraft, and military jets. Attracts over 1 million visitors.
💡 Use the park & ride to avoid traffic. The displays run from midday to early evening.
Wimborne Minster
A three-day folk music festival in the beautiful market town of Wimborne. Street performances, concerts, ceilidhs, and workshops. One of the friendliest festivals in the south of England.
💡 The Saturday evening ceilidh in the square is unmissable. Book concert tickets in advance.
Lyme Regis
A celebration of science, nature, and the Jurassic Coast, held annually in Lyme Regis. Fossil walks, talks by leading palaeontologists, family activities, and an outdoor science fair.
💡 The fossil walks on the beach are excellent for children. Book in advance as they fill up quickly.
Sherborne
A prestigious classical music and arts festival held annually in and around Sherborne Abbey. World-class concerts, recitals, and events in one of England's finest medieval churches.
💡 Book early for the headline concerts. The abbey's acoustics are exceptional.
Shaftesbury
A community arts festival in the hilltop town of Shaftesbury, celebrating music, theatre, visual arts, and literature. A charming local festival with a warm community atmosphere.
💡 Combine with a visit to Gold Hill — one of England's most photographed streets.
Weymouth
A celebration of Dorset's extraordinary seafood heritage, held annually on Weymouth seafront. Local fishermen, restaurants, and producers showcase the best of Dorset's coastal larder.

Swanage
A beloved jazz festival in the seaside town of Swanage, with performances in pubs, venues, and on the seafront. A relaxed and friendly festival with a wonderful atmosphere.

Wareham
A traditional English town carnival in the ancient Saxon town of Wareham. Processions, fairground rides, stalls, and community entertainment. A wonderful family day out.

Christchurch
An annual food and wine festival in the beautiful priory town of Christchurch. Local producers, wine merchants, street food, and cookery demonstrations in the town centre.
